Expressions Photo & I Love Photo Gifts

Expressions Photo takes your privacy seriously! When we are allowed to use images for our marketing we do not post them any where except on our BLOG and our personal websites-plain and simple.

But if you are using a photo sharing website such as Snapfish, Flickr, Ofoto etc., please be sure you read the FINE PRINT before signing up an dposting. I do not have on of these accounts, but I have recently learned that some of these sites have a stipulation in the fine print that states that you allow any one to use your images–basically giving them copyright to that image. PLEASE be sure you read carefully, unfortunately there are some scary things out there and I would hate to see your personal images wind up somewhere that you do not want them to be.

Why oh why do boys seem to get the most amazing eyelashes! I cannot believe this little man is 6 months old already! It seems like we just finished his newborn session! He is one of the most beautiful little boys we have ever photographed, and has 2 big brothers who are just as adorable, sorry mom-but there is no other word to describe your boys but BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Bokeh is the area of an image that is purposely put out of focus to put the focus on the subject of the image. This is the perfect example-my daughter is completely in focus but the beautiful colors of the fall trees are blurred into little circles leaving her as the prominent figure. If the trees had been perfectly in focus, she probably would have been lost amongst the details of the trees.

Pretty cool huh?!?!?

Bokeh is achieved with what is called “Aperture”. Check your camera manual to see if you have an aperture option on your camera. It is a great way to change the look and feel of an image!

I LOVE these! I am trying to figure out how to use them in the studio, but will definitely be ordering them personally. It is a sticker book from your own images. This is a great little gift for the kids-and adults too!

I dropped my beautiful baby girl off at kindergarten this morning…shed a couple of tears and now here I am staring at a couple of pictures her I took last week wondering when she turned into this beautiful young lady. Although a big hug and a “Mom, I will always be your baby girl” gave me a little bit of hope that she is still the little baby girl who really does still need me even though she does not act like it!

Now, let me share that my daughter has what is often called “Photographer’s Child Syndrome”, basically she HATES her picture taken. When the camera is turned her way it is either the hand in the face or the cheesy plastic smile—-which I of course I am not a fan of in children! Natural expressions is all we try to capture in our studio….kids make too many amazing expressions - that is what we want to remember right!!!????
